2027 Valentine's Day Anthology Sign Ups

Team up with other indie authors to release a collection of Valentine’s Day short stories in a single book as a reader magnet to grow your newsletter list. We’ve done this twice previously, but it was Christmas/winter holiday themed. We’ve decided to change it up this year!

There is no minimum subscriber or follower count. We want to see your socials to get to know you, that's all.

Submission Requirements:

  • 5,000 to 30,000 words
  • Valentine's Day Themed
  • Romance only, with a HEA or HFN
  • No AI.

That's it. All spice levels and all sub-genres welcome. And no AI means it cannot be present in your marketing either. Any AI use at all will disqualify you. 

If you need editing services for your book, we have once again partnered with Book Bunny Author Services to provide you a discounted editing rate of $75 up to 15,000 words and $150 up to 30,000 words.

Timeline: 

9/5/26 Sign-ups close.

9/12/26 Chosen participants will be notified. We expect to accept everyone, this is just in case we receive more sign-ups than we can accommodate.

12/1/26 Submissions due to Book Bunny Author Services if using her editing services.

1/22/27 Submissions due to Katya for formatting at Anthology@KatyaSummers.com

1/27/27 Digital proof copies sent out.

1/29/27 Final deadline for any requested changes.

2/1/27 Release day. Begin distribution.

2/28/27 Distribution ends.

3/3/27 Final list of email subscribers sent out to all participants.

Do you expect to use Book Bunnies Authors Services for your editing needs with this project? This is not mandatory, we're just trying to help her plan accordingly.

While not a requirement for submitting, I recommend following Katya and Danika on Instagram and Threads as they are the organizers for this event. While updates get emailed out, sometimes this is faster.
