Where to Get Your Event Banners and Supplies

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done one of these, but I’m back today with a report on my new favorite supplier for events: China Flag Makers.

Yes, it sounds sketchy as all get out getting your banners and displays printed in China. I actually used them for the first time last August, but I got my delivery in right before the tariff rules changed, and I wanted to wait until I’d had at least two orders to start recommending them.

China Flag Makers prints many items indie authors need, like standing banners and backdrops, at a fraction of the price you would find in places like Vistaprint. There’s not even a referral in this for me, but I cannot recommend this place enough.

Not only is their quality top-notch for the price, their customer service is also amazing. They got back to me with a discount code I’d missed in my email to help place my order in less than a day.

Because these items are printed and shipped from China, the shipping is atrocious. My last order was $260 something, and the shipping was $178. However, it’s some of the fastest shipping I’ve ever seen. I’ve had things from local shops come slower. My last order was placed on May 10th, 2026 and it was delivered on May 19th. It’s also worth noting that there was some serious weight with this particular order. Additionally, you will see some itemized charges for tariffs and credit card processing fees, but honestly considering I paid less for a standing banner, a tablecloth, and a tabletop stand than I would have the standing banner basically anywhere else, I’m good with it.

You do have to make an account for the website, upload a placeholder image, and choose a processing time in order to get pricing. They have slight discounts for longer processing times. I think it’s like a $4 difference between 48 hours and 96 hours. Not a huge savings, but it can add up quick.

They have templates on their website for all their products and my personal favorite is that I can actually upload an Adobe Illustrator file. I don’t even have to export. You do have to design everything yourself, or have someone else do it. They also send you digital proofs for everything so you have a final chance to catch any errors before they print, and send you a final photo before it ships. You can see all my final photos below.

My one disappointment, and I have not contacted them about this because it’s something I can personally fix, is that on my tabletop banners the top piece came off and needs to re-glued. Yes, I could contact them and see what they can do. But it’s something my husband and I can fix in a few minutes with a screwdriver, and I paid less than $8 for each of them. Its also worth noting I ordered one of these back in August last year and have had no issues with it.

I now have a standing vinyl banner, a double-sided fabric display banner, a double-sided backdrop, a custom tablecloth, and three tabletop banners in two different sizes from China Flag Makers. I’ve spent a total of $569.80. A custom tablecloth from Vistaprint in the same size starts at $304.

The best part is now that I have the frame for the backdrop and the standing cloth banner, I can just order new fabric when I want to update them.

At some point, I’m hoping to film a video so you all can see these in all their glory, but the backdrop is actually too big to set up in my house. So please enjoy these photos from my last event.
